What is a zero knowledge proof?
A way to prove something is true without showing the details. Like proving you’re over 18 without revealing your birthdate. Starknet uses this to verify transactions without exposing what’s in them.
How does Starknet use zero knowledge proofs?
Starknet processes thousands of transactions off-chain, bundles them into one proof, and posts that to Ethereum. You get lower fees and faster transactions, with Ethereum’s security.
What is the difference between ZK-SNARKs and ZK-STARKs?
Both are types of zero knowledge proofs. SNARKs need a trusted setup (someone has to generate secret parameters). STARKs don’t, and they’re also resistant to future quantum computers. Starknet uses STARKs.
