Danilo, co-founder and ecosystem leader of Kakarot, provides an update on the project’s progress since July. Kakarot, an EVM written in Cairo, can be deployed on Starknet L2, L3, or using Madara, enabling EVM contracts to interact with Cairo contracts. Recent efforts have focused on testing Kakarot with pre-alpha testers, integrating EVM tools like Metamask and Foundry, and optimizing Cairo code. The team plans to launch a public testnet by the end of October 2023, with the mainnet expected in mid-2024.
